The College Park Recreational Association (CPRA) is a volunteer-run organization dedicated to making our neighbourhood a great place to live. Every program, event, and activity we offer — from low-cost recreation for kids and adults to community celebrations like the Easter Egg Hunt and Pumpkins in the Park — depends on the time and energy of local residents like you.
By volunteering, you’ll help strengthen neighbourhood connections, keep our programs affordable, and create fun experiences right here in College Park.
Why Volunteer?
- Meet your neighbours and build community spirit
- Contribute to events and programs that benefit families of all ages
- Help keep our outdoor spaces (parks, rinks, alleys) clean and welcoming
- Gain valuable experience in event planning, leadership, or community organizing
- Make a real difference with just a few hours of your time
Current Volunteer Opportunities

Serving on the board is a great way to shape the future of recreation and events in College Park. No previous experience is required — just a passion for our community. View current executive members and open positions on our Contact page.
2. Help with Community Events We need hands for one-time or seasonal events, such as:
- Spring Neighbourhood Cleanup Day (back alley cleanups to keep our neighbourhood tidy and divert waste from landfills)

- Easter Egg Hunt
These events are more successful and enjoyable with more volunteers!
3. Support Recreation Programs

- Volunteer as a coach or helper for youth programs (e.g., soccer, skating, or other seasonal activities)
- Help with registration, setup, or takedown at indoor/outdoor sessions

A Big Thank You
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who has volunteered in the past — your help with cleanups, rink painting, events, and more makes College Park stronger. In 2025, volunteers helped clear over 1,300 kg of waste during the Spring Cleanup, and events like the Rink Painting Bee brought families together to beautify our park.
